After writing a file to your ECU your EK1 Pro will become "locked" to the VIN of the vehicle. This means that the EK1 Pro cannot be used to flash another vehicle until an initialization reset is a performed. This is helpful if you decide to sell your EK1 Pro or purchase a new vehicle that is supported.
To begin the reset process you will need to first create an <code>Init</code> file by navigating the the settings page. After creating an <code>Init </code>file, insert the SD Card into your device and navigate to the <code>Init </code>folder.&nbsp;

After checking out our team will send back a file to be placed in the same <code>Init </code>folder. Lastly, insert the SD Card into the EK1 Pro and choose the Initialization option. Choose the file our team sent.
Your device is now reset and ready to use with a new vehicle.&nbsp;
